The Deck of Kings!

[Note: Due to compression issues the cards really need to be enlarged in order to read most of the quotes. Simply click on the image and use the right and left arrows to scroll through the deck.]

The Deck of Kings is a tarot sized poker deck I created in response to a creative prompt from Gabrielle Trilling. My original intent was to find a way to share just how magical and truly wonderful my fraternity siblings are for me. What better way to do that than to recreate them as my favorite fantasy and sci-fi characters?

The name for the deck comes from the name of our chapter house at Brown University. King House as it was called, is a place of such joy and creativity,  and what seemed at times to be never-ending games of Kings.

If anyone would like a copy of their own to continue the tradition, you can purchase one from I also made up a poster version if anyone wants one email me. Otherwise you can see the whole deck below, remember, click to en-biggen!
